Our Weekend Away

Finally posting a few pics from our weekend getaway. We had a wonderful time! The trip almost didn't happen because Joel was sick, as you'll see in the first picture. But Grandma Janet felt like she could handle it and we were only going to be an hour away if we needed to come home. That was a good choice:)

We shopped, ate at many yummy restaurants, went to Brown County State Park and napped a lot. And of course had to go to Brian's favorite restaurant(That Sandwich Place-all things Indiana Hoosiers!)...fun place, not so great food-at least in my opinion!

Brian surprised me by booking another weekend in October a few weeks before the baby comes. We're looking forward to that in the fall.

Easter Bunny, Eggs & New Life

Brian and I decided not to do anything for Joel for Easter because he is so young and wouldn't know the difference. However, Brian decided the Easter Bunny was coming to our house and surprised Joel and I with Easter baskets and an egg hunt Sunday morning. It was such a fun surprise! Joel loved it and did a good job hunting for the eggs with a little help from his daddy.

After church there was an Easter Egg Hunt. Joel isn't walking yet so he wasn't able to participate. But at the end they put more eggs out for the little ones to pick up. He ended up with two eggs from church. Afterwards, we headed to Mom and Dad Stiver's to spend a couple of days. Thankfully Joel slept the whole way. It was a great visit.

I believe most of you now know about our expected arrival in the fall. Friday, Brian and I had the privelege of hearing the baby's heartbeat. It's such an amazing, precious sound. No matter how many times you hear it. The official due date is November 4th. We're very excited and thankful for this blessing!

Play Set

Joel received a new play set from Grandma Janet. He also enjoyed the box that it came in. Brian enjoyed putting it together...glad I'm not a man;) Thanks Grandma Janet!
