For the last week I've been thinking about getting an 'exersaucer' for Joel, as he'll be able to use it soon. Knowing that we can't afford to buy a new one, I've been making plans to hit a couple of big sales coming up in the month of April with childrens toys, clothing, gear, etc.
It dawned on me that I could try praying for God's provision for one. It seemed silly to pray for such a thing. Especially knowing that He promises to fulfill our needs, not necessarily our wants. As I lifted the prayer up(somewhat sheepishly), I remembered something I had read before living on one income. I was reading a book called "Living Well On One Income" by a Christian author. In this book, the lady talked about how she literally prays for every need: shoes, clothes, household products, etc. She gave an awesome testimony on His provision and faithfulness.
So...
the day after I prayed for Joel's exersaucer, a girlfriend from church called and said that she had an exersaucer/walker for me that she wanted to bring over! I could feel the tears of joy welling up inside. I told her the story and she was amazed as well. God is sooooo good! I am so excited to start praying for my needs before running to Wal-Mart and buying:-)
When Joel woke this morning, I let him know that Jesus got him an exersaucer!!!

Biggest Hoosier Week 2
So my wife just told me that I need to apologize for posting this late, so I am sorry. Anyway my quest to 180 lbs has started on a pretty good note. This week I weighed in at 236....212...221...231...222...218...and the final number is 218 lbs! I lost 5 pounds this week, even though the pictures look like I weigh more. So I am off to a positive start and can't wait to look at weeks ahead. See you next week on the Biggest Hoosier.

The Biggest Hoosier
So this new post and pictures is really putting myself out there. I thought that this would be a great way to keep myself accountable and show you all week by week how this experiment is going. So in Biggest Loser style, I am going to be calling this the Biggest Hoosier, no pun intended. Each week I will be posting a new picture and my current weight, along with my current weight lost or gained each week. Here are the latest pictures of myself, and my current weight is 223 lbs. Considering I graduated high school at 165, thats pretty bad. And none of this weight is beer weight to let you all know. It's twinkies and Boston Creme Pies for the most part, and maybe some Burgers and Chocolate milk mixed in as well. So anyway, sorry to gross some of you out with my shirt off, but like I said I'm really putting myself out there in hopes that it motivates me to get to my ultimate goal weight of 180 lbs. See you next week and hopefully you will be seeing LESS of me.

Joel's Jollies
I went to my cousin, Jordan's 2nd birthday party and watched all the kids eat cake and ice cream and play 'pin the tail on the donkey'. My cousin Hudson and I hung out with our mom's and Uncle Lance. A good time was had by all!!!

I turned 12 weeks old today. I'm not sure but my mom keeps saying I'm around 15lbs already! I had a couple of firsts today...I laughed out loud and grabbed one of my toys. With all that excitement, I think I'll hit the crib. Nite, nite, Joel.

I think I'll pull my hair out!
Grrrrrrrr...today has been a frustrating day! I set a 3 o'clock appointment for Joel to get his first professional pictures. I'm not sure if the preparation or the photo shoot was worse! It was pure torture!!!
He wouldn't go down for his nap at 1pm, so after much crying I decided to feed him early and give him his bath(which he desperately needed) so that we would make it on time. He was so tired by then that he screamed in terror over his bath and spit up everything he had just eaten. He ended up crying through most of the photo shoot and all the way out the door of Penney's. We're home now and he's in his crib crying and fighting sleep. Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday dear mommy, Happy Birthday to me!!!
P.S. Lesson of the day-NEVER take your baby to a photo shoot without someone's help! At least not my baby!!!

Sunny Florida
We had a great week in Florida! We went down with my stepmom and stayed with her parents in their condo. It was sooooo nice to get away from these gloomy, snowy days. We went to the beach, pool, ate surf and turf, shopped and relaxed. Thanks Janet!!! Sadly, we had to return to winter, but spring will be here before we know it:)
