Professional Pics

I took Joel in to JcPenney's yesterday for his 18 month pictures. However, he's now 19 months, but last month he had too many scratches and bumps on his face for pictures. He's a clumsy thing! He did a really good job yesterday...

The Past Week

The last week has been full. Last Wednesday we took the youth kids(31 of them) to Kings Island(we had a great time)...Saturday we headed to Ft Wayne for a Stiver Family Reunion...Tuesday the zoo...today Toddler Storytime at the library...and this evening started our Carnival at our church. It's really exciting! It's definitely the biggest thing Fortville has ever seen. WWW.BRIDGEFEST2009.ORG

There are about 15 rides(including 3 or 4 that toddlers can ride), lots of yummy(unhealthy) fair food, and the usual games and such. It's going on tonight, Friday night and all day Saturday. So, we will pretty much be living at the church for the next couple of days. I'm meeting my brother halfway tomorrow afternoon to bring my neice and her friend down for the weekend. The carnival will be great for them. That's all for now. Here's a few pictures from Kings Island(for those of you not on facebook!)...

Summer Fun

Saturday was the 2nd Annual Jellothon with the youth group. It was bigger and better than last year. We had to deal with a little rain, but overall the weather held out for the event. It truly was an awesome sight...I've never seen so much Jello!

Saturday evening my cousin and her family came to stay with us for a couple days. It was great to have them here with us. We went to the pool yesterday and to a waterpark today with them and our pastor's family. And ended the day with a delicious meal at Cracker Barrel. Great weekend!

Fourth of July Weekend

We had such a fun fourth of July weekend. Mom and Dad Stiver came down Thursday evening to spend the weekend with us. We had a chance to go play tennis(thanks to Grandma Janet for babysitting). There was lots of card playing and Scrabble(unfortunately Dad Stiver was able to successfully defend the "Stiver Scrabble Trophy" 3 times in a row!!! So it stays in Ohio).
Friday night we invited our good friends Matt and Lauren and my stepmom, Janet over for a cookout. We grilled burgers and brats and enjoyed the evening together.
Saturday we had plans to go to the Indy Indians baseball game but it was rained out so we'll have to use the tickets another time. Instead we ended up going out to eat at Olive Garden and hanging out at home playing games, which was great.
Sunday night Brian, Joel and myself went downtown Indy to watch fireworks. We ate out, walked around the canal and hung out at White River Park to watch the fireworks. Joel loved them...he kept saying "boom, boom!" Brian bought him a light saber that he loved. It was a great holiday!!!
