Revive Our Hearts

I'm sure some of you are familiar with Nancy Leigh DeMoss and her 'Revive Our Hearts' ministry. I try and listen to her on the radio each day. She has been giving some awesome messages over the past couple of weeks about our personal relationship and devotional time with the Lord. Anyhow, I was browsing her website, http://www.reviveourhearts.com/ and came across a "30 Day Challenge" as she likes to call it. There are several available, but one in particular struck me...30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge for Wives. It's fantastic and I'm praying I will stick with it for the 30 Days. FYI-yesterday was my first day:) I've got a ways to go!

Day One:
The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:11-12

Here's the 30-Day Encouragement Challenge...for the next 30 Days:
*You can't say anything negative about your husband...to your husband...or to anyone else, about your husband.
*Say something that you admire or appreciate about your husband...to your husband...and to someone else, about your husband!

Imagine the fruit produced within your marriage from not saying one negative thing about your husband for 30 days?!? Maybe you have all mastered this, but I certainly have not! Each day begins with a scripture and advice on how to encourage your husband. She also discusses many typical situations in a marriage that cause us to criticize or say negative things to or about our husband. I hope some of you wives will join me in this challenge. It can easily be printed off from her website. God bless you and your husband:)

So does Brian still read this blog? He will know if your good will if he reads it, but hey then he will appreciate you appreciating him. LOL... Anyways, props to you Tara. That takes a lot of effort and discipline. So no nagging for 30 days. I don't know if I can do that. I will have to pray about it. Hahah... By the way, the boys love their bowling game. They play it all the time. THanks!

Yes, Brian reads it. He doesn't like the pink! Yes, he knows I'm doing it, so he can hold me accountable:)
Glad the boys like the bowling.

I have a very hard time with this lately. I have been very negative towards Rich and will start tomorrow on this journey with you. It will be a long road, but maybe it will make him love me more...don't know! Not that he doesn't love me becuz he does and I know that, but...well you know!
